Formfolio 2005
2006
After a year-and-a-half of top notch work, FORM decided to do a website update, moving in the direction of pure portfolio. While the old site was (and is) stellar, the FORM kids had me re-work the design into a smaller flash interface showing the work off we’ve all worked on in the last year or so.
I started with Teresa’s old design as inspiration (in an attempt to not deviate from the brand too much … ack!) and added some minimal flavour to it. The result is a animated, dynamically updateable portfolio.
I worked up the site in Photoshop and then built the site in Flash, using a combination of MySQL and PHP to store/manipulate data. Using Actionscripted animations enabled me to completely control the movement of the site.
The news and blog section of the site is a small XML Feed Reader so we can add new feeds to the site as needed. Also new in the second phase is the Desktop Fridays section, where we take a random word and do a desktop sketch in one hour.
