This is the TypeOneError update for 2005. It’d been three years since I did anything with this website, so I spent three months worth of evenings (after work, before drinking) making this mini-update.
The site contains a portfolio section, a calendar with news and blog updates, and a little section about moi. Each section has a slide-out menu that relates. The portfolio has a sortable piece menu, the about section has “shouts,” links to people, and the calendar section has a mini-news feed.
The 2005 update was created mainly in Flash MX 2004 Pro and the design was intially produced in Photoshop. The backend system is a custom build blogging tool, one that is displayed through Flash and a small interactive calendar. Users can leave comments on blog and news items from there as well. The back end is built on a MySQL/PHP platform, with a small suite of admin tools for manipulating blogs and news and also adding portfolio items.
