This is a website I designed and programmed for Thu Tran, a fabulous glass and…actually a fabulous everything artist. She draws, paints, sculpts, blows glass, does traditional print, etc. etc. Anyway, I was honored to be able to work with such beautiful imagery. Anyway, Thu is really into cooking and eating and I loved her drawing Bad Meal, so I used that character and made him rejecting different foods and objects as you roll over the interactive menu. Then I scripted the tweens to move him back and forth, so he “licks” the active section. The link page is drawn dynamically as is Thu’s “Food Journal,” a sort of recipie blog with images.I designed this site in Adobe Photoshop using some custom brushes. The interface was then moved to Macromedia Flash, where I programmed the menu and the portfolio access (using a file browsing PHP script). The “Food Journal” is a series of directories that PHP accesses and displays accordingly. The rest of the page was finished off with CSS and HTML.
