Thalia.com is a website created by BKWLD for Latin pop mega-star Thalia. Over a period of six months or so, Jeff Toll created some amazing designs - a "land" for each aspect of the star's talents. Development involved a multi-lingual content management system and flash development; each land required a custom set of rules for resizing to fit the browser.
The site was built using Flash 8 and Actionscript 2.0 built on top of a MySQL/PHP back end. It also uses Akamai networks to stream video and audio as well as gcast, so Thalia can call in phone messages that get pushed to the site automatically.
